Another J.J. Abrams series is coming to your TV, courtesy of Fox. Abrams’ Alcatraz, “show about mysteries, secrets and the most infamous prison of all time: Alcatraz”, has a pilot commitment from the network. (Deadline) Disturbia screenwriter Carl Ellsworth will script a live-action adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps book series. I’m hoping for an 80s-style anthology horror flick. (THR’s Risky Business) IFC has picked up Werner Herzog‘s 3D doc, Cave of Forgotten Dreams, for US distribution. (indieWire) M.
