Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps topped the weekend box office and delivered the Oliver Stone’s biggest opening of his career.  The sequel to the 1987 classic, for which Michael Douglas won the Best Actor Oscar, pulled in $19 million. For most people, Glee‘s second season premieres in less for 15 minutes. Not for me. With no cable, I’ll be watching the show tomorrow on Hulu. I’d say that was a sacrifice that I was willing to make for life without cable, but I did just spend the last hour or so trying to get over-the-air reception for my local Fox station. (So for anyone in my apartment building wondering why there’s an antenna hanging outside of my living room window…) So no Glee for me tonight. Lionsgate has picked up John Cameron Mitchell’s Rabbit Hole at the TIFF. The third feature from the Hedwig helmer stars Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart. Lionsgate may have its eye on Oscar for the pair as it plans a release later this year year. (indieWire) Warner Bros. is banking on its DC Comics properties as the Harry Potter franchise winds down. The studio plans a reorganization around DC and will unveil a “spread sheet” (Super Excel!) with plans for its heroes next month.
