Lupita Nyong’o Joins Long List Of Rumored STAR WARS VII Actors
Who isn’t meeting with J.J. Abrams for Star Wars VII these days? We’ve got 5 actors now shortlisted for the lead and everyone from Benedict Cumberbatch to Gary Oldman to Chiwetel Ejiofor has been connected with the film in one way or another. Now it looks like Ejiofor’s 12 Years a Slave co-star, Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o, has apparently met with Abrams for a role in the film. According to THR, the meeting took place just before Nyong’o, who may now be the hottest actress in Hollywood after her stunning awards season run, won her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Rumor is she could be playing a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi, which has been described as a non-Caucasian role. THR points out that she isn’t up for either of the male or female leads. Whatever happens, it’s clear that Nyong’o is in for...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe isn’t the most magical place on earth, despite its parent company. And while not necessarily grounded in gritty, Nolan-esque realism, it doesn’t stray far from the reality farm. So how is a magician superhero supposed to coexist with Iron Man and Captain America? Well, let’s hope you passed physics in high school. In speaking with Devin Faraci at Badass Digest, Marvel uber-producer Kevin Feige had this to say about magic in the Marvel universe: Are you watching the Cosmos series? That’s magic, [the quantum physics]. It’s unbelievable. If somebody knew how to tap into that stuff, what’s the difference between that and magic? You don’t get into it in Harry Potter, but if a scientist went to Hogwarts he’d find out how some of that stuff is happening! We’re not going to spend a lot...

On May 6, 2016, we may get the closest thing to a DC Vs. Marvel movie we’ll ever see. Captain America 3 has just landed Marvel’s May 2016 slot, which was previously listed as an unknown Marvel movie. That just happens to be the same weekend that Batman Vs. Superman invaded when it moved from 2015 to 2016. The question now is: Will DC blink? It certainly appears that Marvel has no intention of moving off of the date it had claimed long ago. With Captain America: The Winter Soldier tracking huge, some ever saying it could be the best MCU movie yet, Marvel has little incentive to movie for the untested, even controversial, flick in DC’s fledgling cinematic universe. It’s no wonder that Hey You Guys in the UK is reporting the DC is considering moving their blockbuster superhero team up back to...
Read MoreFinal Oscar Predictions: GRAVITY Wins 6. SLAVE for Picture. Is Leo Tonight’s Big Spoiler?
It’s just a few short hours until the Oscars happen and oh what a race it’s been. American Hustle, Gravity and 12 Years a Slave looked locked in a 3-way race for a time after the nominations, Globes and Critics Choice Awards, but now the race has settled to this: 12 Years a Slave will win Best Picture, Gravity will win Best Director and American Hustle will win… nothing. Nada. Zero. Hustle looked like it could steal the Best Picture award away from 12 Years a Slave, but in my final Oscar predictions, I now see very few opportunities for a Hustle win in any category. Look for American Hustle to join the ranks of The Turning Point, The Color Purple and Gangs of New York as one of the most nominated movies without a win. On the flip side, Gravity could become one of the winning-est movies to not win Best Picture, with 6...

Click to Enlarge Wow. That’s about all there is to say today after the Arrow Facebook fan page posted the first image of Grant Gustin in costume as The Flash from the upcoming superhero spin-off series, The Flash. Ever since The Flash was announced, it has made waves because, let’s face it, the Arrow-verse is already about 10 times better than anything Snyder and company have in mind for the DC Cinematic Universe. It’s fun. It’s epic. It’s decidedly more cinematic. With the addition of the spin-off series, which is getting its own pilot rather than a backdoor pilot during Arrow‘s season two run, the ever expanding Arrow-verse just keeps getting better. Berlanti, Kreisberg and Guggenheim...
