Yesterday, Peter Jackson took to his Facebook page to bad farewell to Gandalf the Grey as Sir Ian McKellen filmed his last shot as the legendary wizard. Johnny Depp Almost Died on the Set of THE LONE RANGER and Someone Made a GIF Out of It
The Lone Ranger even making it to theaters is a miracle. After false starts and budget conflicts, it seemed like nothing else could go wrong once the film went into production, right? Well, how about the star of the film falling of his horse, which was racing at full speed? Yep, that happened to Johnny Depp, as you can see in the GIF above (over and over again). Really, it’s a karmic moment for Depp because, well, I’m pretty sure the Tonto character is a racist caricature. But whatever. It’s Disney. Even Captain American needs to upgrade his wardrobe now and then.
