LEGO MOVIE Filmmakers To Direct GHOSTBUSTERS 3?
The directing team behind The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs may be about to cross their streams once more, this time for Sony’s Ghostbusters 3.
According to the Wrap, Chris Miller and Phil Lord are in talks to direct the upcoming sequel to the 80s sci-fi/comedy franchise. Lord and Miller would be stepping in for Ivan Reitman who stepped aside after the death of Harold Ramis.
If all goes as planned, the two will begin production on Ghostbusters 3 as early as this fall, though it could take until early 2015 to get everything in place. You know. Like a cast.
But Etan Cohen’s script draft is ready to go, according to Reitman. And with directors like these guys, you know the property is in good hands.
