Chris Platt In Talks For JURASSIC WORLD
If you told me 5 years ago that Chris Platt of Everwood and Parks & Recreation would be a leading man in the movies someday, I would have probably laughed in your face. But here we are, in 2013 and Platt is about to headline one of Marvel’s most important property launches, Guardians of the Galaxy. And now, Platt is also in talks for the lead in Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World.
According to The Wrap, Platt is in very early negotiations now that talks with Josh Brolin have gone nowhere. Platt would join Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins who have all already signed on for the dino sequel.
It’s also worth noting here that Platt, in addition to Guardians and potentially Jurassic World, is the lead voice actor in the The LEGO Movie, which is probably his most important starring role.
