Watch Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch in the Trailer for David Gordon Green’s PRINCE AVALANCHE
David Gordon Green got a little sidetracked in recent years. Green—who made some of the best dramatic indies of the 00s, including All the Real Girls, George Washington and Undertow—started making comedies with James Franco, Jonah Hill and Danny McBride. Two of which is are comedy masterpieces (Pineapple Express and the series Eastbound & Down) and the others, well, the reviews were so bad I didn’t see ’em.
Now it looks like Green has found a happy middle ground between in this trailer for his upcoming film Prince Avalanche. The film stars Emile Hirsch and Paul Rudd as two road workers who leave behind their city lives for a summer job painting lines on isolated thoroughfares. One thing’s for sure here, this movie is going to be 100 times happier than Green’s last indie directorial effort Snow Angels, which is pretty much one of the most depressing movies you will ever see (but in that good indie way).
