  • Yesterday we got word that David Yates would adapt Stephen King‘s classic The Stand for Warner Bros. Today we’ve learned that Jonathan Demme is taking on King’s soon-to-be-released JFK assassination novel, 11/23/63.  This isn’t just your standard conspiracy theory fare. No, King’s book is about a time traveler sent from the future to prevent LBJ from assassinating JFK the president’s assassination. (Variety)
  • In news we could do without but can’t help but be interested in, Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace is apparently prepped and ready to go for its big 3D release. Lucas has even phoned it in signed off. The first of six 3D Star Wars films hits theaters in Feb. 2012. (Bleeding Cool)
