30 Rock, Mad Men take top Emmy honors – TFC Morning Report
Top Story: For the second year in a row, Mad Men won the Emmy for Best Drama Series and 30 Rock nabbed the Best Comedy Series Emmy. (That’s 3 wins now for 30 Rock!) Other winners include Bryan Cranston for Best Actor in a Drama Series, Glenn Close for Best Actress in a Drama Series, Toni Collette for Best Actress in a Comedy Series and Alec Baldwin for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. In Other News: Four “posthumous” Emmy wins for the canceled ABC series Pushing Daisies, including Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Kristin Chenoweth, could mean new life for the show. Bryan Fuller told THR, “It’s a tremendous honor to see ‘Daisies’ win in so many categories — and in the spirit of the show… Now can we please make the ‘Pushing Daisies’ movie?” Yes, can we? (THR)
