Terry Gilliam’s Don Quixote back on – TFC Morning Report
RSSS

Top Story: Terry Gilliam is teaming with producer Jeremy Thomas to finally bring The Man Who Killed Don Quixote to the big screen. It’s been nine years since Gilliam first attempted to tell the story of a filmmaker who becomes the unwitting Sancho Panza. The production was plagued with set backs (as chronicled in the film Lost in La Mancha). Now the project looks to be moving forward, but no word on if Johnny Depp will still star. (THR)

In Other News: Monica Bellucci has joined Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer’s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Not surprisingly, Bellucci will play a sorceress, as well as Nicholas Cage’s character’s long-lost love. (Variety)

Jason Statham will star in the action film The Killer Elite for director Gary McKendry. (Variety)

He’s still hot. Mickey Rouke has signed on to star in a remake of the 1980s British gangster pic Mona Lisa. Bob Hoskins earned his one and only Oscar nomination for starring in the original film. Will Rouke get a second chance at Oscar gold? (Variety)

Opening Today:
