Whitaker, 50 Cent join second Jekyll & Hyde project – TFC Morning Report
Top Story: I’d really hate to be a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde fanboy right now. (I’m sure they exist somewhere.) Last week it was announced that Keanu Reeves would star in a contemporary retelling of Robert Lewis Steveson’s classic. Now another version is in the works with 50 Cent attached. Forest Whitaker is also attached to this adaptation, titled Jekyll and Hyde, directed by Abel Ferrara. (Variety)
In Other News: The Steve Carell-Tina Fey comedy Date Night has added Ray Liotta, Mila Kunis, and Mark Ruffalo to its already huge cast. (THR)
Kung Fu Panda co-director John Stevenson will bring Steven Sherrill’s The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break to the big screen. Don’t look for an animated movie though. It’s likely to be live-action with CGI elements. (THR)
Remake alert: DreamWorks is on board as the distributor of the upcoming Fright Night remake. (THR)
