Top Story: It’s official (almost). Mickey Rourke and Marvel seemed to have worked out their differences (i.e. Marvel stopped low-balling the Oscar nominee), and now the wrestler is on board for Iron Man 2. He’ll play the Russian villain Crimson Dynamo. This is the second time Marvel has haggled with an Iron Man actor over salary and lost, finally signing Sam Jackson to a nine picture deal as Nick Fury just a few weeks ago. ScarJo, on the other had, was happy to accept a whatever Marvel was willing to give her to replace Emily Blunt as Black Widow. (DHD)

In Other News: Mickey Rourke also signed on for the indie drama Passion Plays. (HR)

Atonement and The Soloist director Joe Wright is will return to period drama when he directs Indian Summer, an adaptation Alex von Tunzelmann book. (Variety)

In musical news, teen classic Heathers is about to get a musical makeover.  Andy Fickman (Reefer Madness: The Musical) will bring the dark comedy to the stage. (HR)

And in too good to be true news, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, which has slugging it with CNBC over the network’s “analysis” pre-economic meltdown, will have Jim Cramer as a guest tonight. Here’s hoping the Stewart versus Cramer celebrity death match gets the full half-hour. (Variety)

Fin.
