Watchmen Title Credits
The times they are a-changin’…
GONE
Maybe it’s because I loves me my Bob Dylan, but when I saw these title credits in the theater, I realized Watchmen wasn’t going to suck. Thank you to whomever posted this online.
Watching these credits again makes me realize just how lucky we were to get this Watchmen movie. It’s a film as good as V for Vendetta, which, in the end, is all I could really ask for.
Update: It looks like Warner Bros. is getting all uppity about this being online. (Outside of their designated channel, that is.) I’ll keep posting as I find it. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Update 2: You’d think a company that has launched some of the best viral campaigns would know that keeping this online was actually a good idea. Anyway, it’s gone, gone now. Thanks, Warner.
I am not a big Dylan fan (yet we’re from the same place) and I’d argue this is one of the greatest openings to a movie I’ve ever seen. It’s funny, beautiful, nostalgic, terrifying, brutal, and sad. It’s everything every movie wants to be, and it’s only 5 minutes long.
It also introduces us to the watchmen universe in such a unique way that it works. It works very well.
