What Did Boba Fett Look Like Before EMPIRE STRIKES BACK?

We all know the interplanetary bounty hunter Boba Fett as the blue and green helmeted character from Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. (He was in some other films that supposedly got made, too, but I forget what they were.) Well, over on Star Wars YouTube channel, we got a look at the original Fett white prototype costume in this video hosted by ESB sound designer Ben Burtt.

Fett has built up a rather fanatic base of loyalists over the years, despite not offering much in the motion pictures at all. He’s more of a character built on assumed mythology than actual story arcs. Maybe that’ll change if Disney, ever the product/franchise pimp, makes a stand alone Boba Fett film. They could easily do it, too, considering the character, unlike Luke, Han and Leia, is completely costumed. Just stick Hugo Weaving in there (for no other reason than he’s Hugo Weaving) and we’ll have a ready made franchise set at any time period in the Star Wars universe.
