TFC Morning Report – Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009 – Rourke out of Iron Man 2?
Top Story: The thought of Rourke in Iron Man 2 made movie geeks’ hearts leap, but now NY Mag’s Vulture says Mickey Rourke isn’t involved in the project. I bet the filming schedule just conflicts with his training for WrestleMania.
In Other News: Liev Schreiber, one of cinema’s best thesps, will star opposite Angelina Jolie in the CIA thriller Salt. Phillip Noyce directs. (Variety)
If Tom Cruise still gets to make movies, then dammit, so does Mel Gibson. Warner Bros. has aquired the distribution rights to the Gibson starrer Darkness. Team Departed, producer Graham King and writer William Monahan, join Mad Mel and director Martin Campbell for the project. (Variety)
Sandra Bullock is apparently still a movie star. Bullock is set to star in the football dramedy Blindside. (HR)
