Is This The Release Date For STAR WARS 7?

So as we wait for any official announcements regarding Star Wars: Episode VII, it’s rumor time again.

Over at Screen Rant, they’re reporting a rumor that appeared on Jedi News saying that the official release date for Star Wars 7 will be Nov. 11, 2015. That would put the release the week after Bond 24 and the week before the final Hunger Games movie, as well as two weeks ahead of Disney/Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur. 

Sure it’s a wide open release date and Disney just vacated that time frame by moving Ant-Man to August 2015, but it’s in a highly competitive window. And releasing a blockbuster in mid-November? The only good major release date in November, the Friday before Thanksgiving, is already taken by Hunger Games: Mocking Jay, Part II.

Of course, there’s little room for Star Wars anywhere else in the holiday season now that Warcraft took the big holiday blockbuster date of Dec. 18.

But it’s freaking Star Wars. They could get an audience with a September or January release. And Disney appears to be managing this whole thing on their terms, so we’ll learn more… whenever Disney wants us too.
