Aaron Taylor-Johnson & Elizabeth Olsen Finally Confirmed For AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

The rumors have been circulating for weeks now but we’re about as close to an official confirmation on The Avengers: Age of Ultron‘s Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch casting as we’ve ever been.

First, there’s Elizabeth Olsen who was rumored to take the role of Scarlet Witch after Saoirse Ronan turned it down. Samuel L. Jackson may have spilled the beans on Olsen’s casting to the Wall Street Journal, saying:

“I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. [Elizabeth] Olsen [who will play the Scarlet Witch], but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”

Thanks, Sam.

But the sister in this brother-sister duo of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver needs her bro.

Well, Latino Review says, “It’s official cool kids. The deal closed,” with regard to the rumored casting of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver.

While we’ll have to wait for the James Spader-like announcement on Marvel’s website for it to be officially official, you can pretty much shut the door on any possibility that other actors would take the roles.
