Cameron Crowe knows how to make me fall in love, with characters, with music, with stories. I love his movies dearly. So you probably understand my excitement when Mr. Crowe tweeted this high-res look at We Bought a Zoo, his upcoming adaptation of Benjamin Mee’s memoir. The story about a father who spends his family’s life savings on an abandoned exotic animal farm has that idealist-against-reality quality that I love so much in his movies. Check out the image featuring Scarlett Johansson and Matt Damon (click for high-res): Okay, so there are movie stars and some zebras, but I’m happy to see anything from the production after the less-than-exciting pics he tweeted last. DreamWorks Animation’s latest feature, Megamind, used its powers for good this weekend, taking in $47 million. The combined take for the top three films, including Due Date and For Colored Girls, topped $100 million.
