Top Story: The Summer of 2009 may not have had a Dark Knight, but it still turned out to be the biggest summer ever at the domestic box office. Even before Labor Day weekend, $4.17 billion dollars were brought in, beating the previous record from 2007 of $4.16 billion. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen took in the most money of any film this summer with a domestic gross of $399 million. Top Story: The search for the next Transformers has ended! DreamWorks Pictures is in negotiations to acquire the movie rights to Mattel’s classic toy, View-Master. Transformers writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are on board to produce. I’m guessing the film will be presented in 3D.
