Darabont to run ‘Walking Dead’ series for AMC – TFC Morning Report

Top Story: AMC is turning into the HBO of basic cable. To further that notion,  the channel that brought you Mad Men and Breaking Bad has an epic zombie series in the works. Based on the comic book The Walking Dead, the series will bring  Hollywood heavy-hitter Frank Darabont to the cabler as writer and director. My guess is this one will air after 10 p.m. (Variety) In how-can-they-make-that-toy-into-a-movie news, Warner Bros. is planning a live action-CG LEGO movie. (THR) Disney and David Mamet are teaming for an adaption of The Diary of Anne Frank.  The book was adapted to film in 1959 and won 3 Oscars, including a Best Supporting Actress statue for the great Shelley Winters.
