Rick Moranis Talks GHOSTBUSTERS 3 – Big 6 Morning Report
Rick Moranis is officially retired from acting, but the seemingly never-ending talk about Ghostbusters 3 even has Louis Tully finally making a comment. Moranis recently told Empire magazine that he “wouldn’t not” do a third movie. However, the second film was a disappointment in his eyes and the third would have to be good in order for him to return. (Empire) Want to see a Hellboy 3? Well, don’t get your hopes up for a sequel anytime soon. Despite a possibility of the film being made at Legendary Pictures, the head of the company Thomas Tull said that there are right issues to be worked out before the movie can proceed. (Shock Till You Drop) How much money with Man of Steel make worldwide? The Hollywood Reporter is predicting about $650-700 million after the film just passed the $500 million mark. That puts MoS on...

Walking Dead producers talk Season 2, Frank Darabont’s departure and more Fans will still be pleased to know that the majority of the season was laid out by devoted fan Darabont before his abrupt exit from the show back in July. Darabont’s name remains in the opening credits as executive producer and Mazzara indicated that the credit would remain. Read the full HitFix post Michael Moore: I was the most hated man in America The hate mail after the Oscar speech was so voluminous, it almost seemed as if Hallmark had opened a new division where greeting card writers were assigned the task of penning odes to my passing. In the good ol’ days, Hollywood kept its fights behind the scenes. We’d wait a few years, maybe decades, for a good storyteller to come along and really put the pieces together. Mark Harris’s Pictures at a Revolution and Peter Biskind’s Down and Dirty Pictures are just two recent examples. Those days are long over, of course. But even by today’s standards, AMC’s battles with the creators and studios behind Mad Men and Breaking Bad were highly-publicized. (Nobody in Hollywood likes a winner, especially a creative upstart like AMC.) Nothing, however, disrupted the basic cable network’s public reputation like its recent falling out with Frank Darabont over The Walking Dead. There’s been a lot of talk about why Darabont and AMC parted ways. I’ve mentioned to people that Darabont, a writer who directs only every few years, might not have made the transition to the...

For fans of The Walking Dead comic books, AMC’s TV series adaptation was missing an essential element: The unsettling and unexpected deaths of main characters. The short first season (just six episodes) didn’t take the chance to kill off prominent characters the way the comic books did early in the run. But Robert Kirkman, co-creator of the comic series and executive producer of the TV show, expects that to change in season two: From THR: New characters: Like the graphic novel, the television show will change characters in season two. Main characters will die, new characters will appear. “We have to keep it interesting,” says Kirkman. “The comic book has an evolving cast and it’s always people dying and others added. The TV show will follow that as well.” The show’s creators promise new people and big character deaths.”...

(click to enlarge) PaleyFest2011 kicked off yesterday with a Walking Dead panel. While I love me my zombies, I’m also a loyal member of Team Eric, meaning today’s True Blood panel is the one to watch. I may not be in Beverly Hills, but at least can appreciate the news from afar, thanks in part to this True Blood Paley Fest poster. EW posted the image yesterday, and asked the question: Is that vamp in the blood Eric or Bill? I only have eyes for Eric, so the better question may be does Sookie’s fairie powers really give here that much power over a vamp? This might be a sign of things to come when True Blood returns on June 12 for its fourth season. Full PaleyFest lineup: Friday, March 4 — The Walking Dead Saturday, March 5 — True Blood...
