First Look: CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Teaser Poster
Click to Enlarge As a resident of Cleveland, you’d think I’d be tired of Captain America: The Winter Soldier by now after all the traffic headaches from filming the movie here. I’m not. Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Sam Jackson and Scar-Jo were all roaming the streets of CLE and that’s pretty awesome. While we’ve seen tons of set pics thanks to a rather aggressive Cleveland Plain Dealer photog, we haven’t had a real visual representation of the film’s tone… until now. The teaser poster above, like the trailers for Iron Man 3, points toward another dark storyline for one of the Avengers. You think they would be all rainbows and sunshine after saving the planet, but no. It’s rough out there. Still, dark Marvel isn’t nearly as somber as light DC movies, so The Winter Soldier is still bound to be...

The poster for Spike Lee’s adaptation of the cult Korean film Oldboy has finally hit. And at first, I thought this poster was fake. No, not because is kind of bizarre. It’s because it says “A Spike Lee Film” instead of “A Spike Lee Joint.” What’s up with that Filmdistrict? Anyway, I’m probably more eager to see this movie than the people who actually enjoyed the original Oldboy, a movie that, like Boondock Saints, I’m annoyed by because people tell me just how good it is all the time. It’s not. But maybe Spike Lee, who can make a masterpiece out of pretty much any material (see Inside Man), will get me on board. Oldboy opens Oct. 25,...

I know there were a lot of Hobbit haters out there, mostly having to do with splitting the book into three films. You betcha. And lucky us, today comes this lovely poster for the second film courtesy of AICN. Expect to see the first trailer next week in front of Man of Steel. Could the remake of Maniac actually be good? Could it be that good? Word on the blog is that Elijah Wood fantastic and the picture may actually be better than the original cult classic. Now comes an awesome new poster for the film, which is a little scalp-y, but looks an awful lot like the cover you’d expect to see on the Criterion disc version of the movie. Check it out: Maniac opens in select cities on June...
