Kevin Smith Has Seen The New Batsuit And….

In some alternate universe, Kevin Smith‘s Superman screenplay will have been produced and my alternate isn’t worrying about whether WB can pull off another superhero movie because it already has. But here we are in Man of Steel world, hoping and praying that WB gets it right. After seeing the new Batsuit with his good buddy Ben Affleck in it, writer/director/podcaster Kevin Smith certainly thinks they did. He basically went bananas on his podcast (h/t Screenrant) describing his reaction to the  Batman Vs. Superman suit when Zack Snyder showed it to him: “I saw the Batman costume. More than that, I saw a picture of [Ben Affleck] in the costume…I don’t want to give anything away ’cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this…I instantly bear hugged [Snyder]. You have not seen this costume...

New DIVERGENT Character Posters

Posted by on Nov 12, 2013 in Posters | 0 comments

I haven’t read Veronica Roth’s Divergent, but after seeing this trailer, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited for the film. Not Harry Potter or Hunger Games excited, but in terms of YA franchises, this one seems like the most interesting one out there. So today comes seven character posters (via The Wrap) which most of you reading this will be more familiar with than I am. Though I gotta say, I’m already a HUGE fan of Four. Christina from Divergent Eric from Divergent Four from Divergent Max from Divergent Peter from Divergent Tori from Divergent Tris from...

The Only AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Promo Image You’ll Ever Need To See

Posted by on Nov 11, 2013 in The Pictures | 0 comments

I’m not going to belabor the point here, but if you’re not interested in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 after seeing this image, then you’re probably not human. I mean who cares about the Sinister Six and all that when you have this. I can’t wait to see which month he is in the New York City Firefighters...

THE HUNGER GAMES Theme Park In The Works, Which Makes Complete Sense

Posted by on Nov 11, 2013 in The Pictures, WTF | 0 comments

It’s a good thing The Hunger Games isn’t in part about the numbing affect of entertainment on the masses, entertainment used by the ruling class to oppress resistance and maintain its grip on power. Thank god it’s not about that at all. Because then a theme park, the most mind-numbing of all entertainment opiates, would seem to stand in the face of the work’s own message. On a conference call with analysts the other day, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer mentioned that the company had been approached for a Hunger Games theme park. And in a brilliant move, they’re actually working to make it happen. Hypocrisy aside, nothing says family fun like knowing that if you send your kids into the arena, only one of them is going to return. I’d recommend skipping your hotel and going straight to the park so...

Two More Actors Rumored For Nightwing In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

Posted by on Nov 11, 2013 in The Pictures | 0 comments

We already know that Adam Driver from Girls is the frontrunner for the young John Hawkes version of Nightwing, who is now all but confirmed to appear in Batman Vs. Superman. But it wouldn’t be fun if he was the only contender, now would it? Thankfully, two more names have emerged as possible Dick Graysons. First is Penn Badgley. Badgley is 27, so he’s about the right age, and now that he’s no longer Gossip Girl… err… on Gossip Girl (opps), Badgley can focus on the film career he’s developed in the past few years. He already has two movies on tap for 2014, following his roles in Easy A and Margin Call. And man, if those cheekbones don’t scream sexy superhero face. He honestly looks more like the kind of Dick Grayson that Zack Snyder’s Batfleck would hang around with, so I wouldn’t count him out. But...

GIRLS’ Adam Driver Being Considered For Nightwing In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

Posted by on Nov 9, 2013 in The Pictures | 0 comments

After reports this week that Dick Grayson would make an appearance in Batman Vs. Superman, we now have our potential Nightwing. The Wrap is reporting that Girls star Adam Driver is being seriously considered for the role of Dick Grayson/Nightwing in the upcoming sequel to the Man of Steel. The most interesting takeaway here isn’t the casting per say. It’s that Nightwing, not Robin, is specifically referred to, confirming rumors that he’ll be estranged from Batman and out on his own. Nightwing fighting crime in Blüdhaven would certainly make a more interesting spin-off movie than anything featuring Robin, which may be the reasoning behind the choice. So what do you think of Adam Driver as Nightwing? Let me know in the comments...
