Posted by on Jul 26, 2013 in Big News, The Big 6, The Pictures | 0 comments

With I, Frankenstein and Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein both in the works, it’s hard to see why we need yet another Frankenstein project. One good reason: James McAvoy. McAvoy is set to play Victor Von Frankenstein in Fox’s upcoming adaptation of  Mary Shelley’s classic novel. (Deadline) After rumors circulated about Micheal Caine joining Matthew Vaughn’s Secret Service, the comic book creator Mark Millar has confirmed that Caine is indeed in the cast. Posted by on Jul 24, 2013 in Big News, The Big 6, The Pictures | 0 comments

Zack Snyder mentioned a quote from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns when the Superman/Batman movie was announced at comic con, one that would guide his approach. Now David Goyer has dropped a hint as to just how important that quote will be. The writer told Comicbook.com that “we’re actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman but yes, it’s–that rematch, that combination, the two guys onscreen and that’s happening.”  (Comicbook.com) The Toronto International Film Festival announced the line-up for its 2013 fest, with the Julian Assange biopic The Fifth Estate opening the event and other Oscar hopefuls like August: Osage County and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom also set to premiere there. J.J. Abrams Isn’t Leaving STAR WARS: VII – Big 6 Morning Report

Posted by on Jul 23, 2013 in Big News, The Big 6, The Pictures | 0 comments

Because a little line of speculation buried deep in a blog post warrants a full denial, Lucasfilm is saying that, despite rumors to the contrary, J.J. Abrams is not dropping out of Star Wars: Episode VII. Although outright denials haven’t stopped Mr. Abrams for doing exactly what he said he wasn’t going to do (Kahn) in the past. Maybe Abrams’s big, unnecessary surprise for this movie will be his name not being on the credits as director when it’s released. (Badass Digest) Well that other franchise J.J. Abrams worked on is still kicking. Thor writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are now attached to Star Trek 3. (ScreenRant) Following in the footsteps of the Veronica Mars team and Zack Braff, Spike Lee has turned to kickstarter to fund his comedy about blood addiction. (Kickstarter) Pacific Rim may have life in it yet. The film was...
