Will Wonder Woman Appear In BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN? All Signs Point To Yes.

About a month ago, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara uttered the words that many DC fans wanted to hear: “We need to get Wonder Woman on the big screen or TV.” If the recent rumors circling the Internet are true, then WB and Zack Snyder may be gearing up to add the Amazing Amazon to the Man of Steel sequel, Batman Vs. Superman. It all started a month ago when a casting call was put out for a female character that matched Wonder Woman’s characteristics: 25 to 35 and physically strong. It was a speculation that Warner Bros. refused to deny outright. Once is just speculation, though. But last week Thor star Jaimie Alexander revealed that she was in talks with Warner Bros. regarding Batman Vs. Superman. Specifically, they wanted to know her opinion about Wonder Woman. But Alexander would be a perfect Diana, almost too...

S.H.I.E.L.D. Calls In The Hammer. THOR: THE DARK WORLD Aftermath Episode Set For November.

Posted by on Nov 2, 2013 in Big News, The Pictures, The Tube | 0 comments

I’ll be honest. I haven’t watched S.H.I.E.L.D. since the show’s third episode. The series is missing a few key elements of any modern TV series, most importantly an interesting meta-narrative that ties the season together. (At least that was the case when I stopped watching.) Short of throwing up the Bat Signal (mixing comic metaphors, I know) and have Joss Whedon supervise the show, there aren’t many options for improvement. Except crossovers. Lots and lots of crossovers. According to Deadline, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will have an episode on the Nov. 19 titled “The Well,” which is described thusly: In the aftermath of the events chronicled in the feature film Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pick up the pieces – one of which threatens to destroy a member of the team. Whether or not the blonde bombshell will...

Today comes a report by way of JediNews that Harrison Ford is one signature away from appearing again as Han Solo in multi film deal that exceeds just Star Wars VII. Ben Affleck Was “Reluctant” To Play Batman

Posted by on Oct 28, 2013 in Big News, The Pictures | 0 comments

To all the fans who weren’t sold on Ben Affleck doning the cape and cowl, even the actor was hesitant about taking on the iconic DC comic character in Batman Vs. Superman. In speaking with 411mania.com, Affleck described how he finally came to the decision to play the Bat in Zack Snyder’s upcoming sequel to Man of Steel: Initially I was reluctant as I felt I didn’t fit the traditional mold but once Zack showed me the concept, and that it would be both different from the great movies that Chris and Christian made but still in keeping with tradition I was excited. Doing something different and new is always tricky and part of the thrill and the risk is that initially it confounds expectations. The truth is, it’s the movie and the execution of it is what all...

Marvel Prepping 4 TV Series, Plus A Mini-Series

Posted by on Oct 17, 2013 in Big News, The Tube | 0 comments

Now that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has a full season pickup, Marvel can likely breathe a little easier when it comes to small screen properties. That’s why the news that Marvel is prepping more TV isn’t that shocking. The scope of the project, 60-episodes of TV with 4 series and a mini-series, kind of is. Even for a company on a role like Marvel, you have to imagine there’s some risk involved with committing so heavily to television in addition to cinema. But when you have a stable of characters as deep as Marvel does, can you blame them for wanting to leverage those heroes and villains? One of the TV series expected to come out of this is the rumored Agent Carter TV series, which could launch out of the Marvel One Shot short film that appears on the Iron Man 3...

Harrison Ford hasn’t been as forth coming with details on his Star Wars 7 involvement as Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. Now, the star is saying publicly that he still doesn’t know if he’ll actually be in the sequel trilogy. During an speaking with the BBC’s Graham Norton, Ford said he has ‘not quite made the choice’ as to whether to reprise the iconic role of Han Solo in the new films. Though to be far, as Screen Rant points out, Disney and Ford may be holding out on any formal announcement until Thor: The Dark World and Ender’s Game are released, so as not to suck the air out of the room for either movie, Disney’s or Ford’s. So even if Harrison Ford is already officially signed on for the movie, don’t expect to hear anything until November. Both the actor and the...
