FANTASTIC FOUR Casting Shortlist Includes Saoirse Ronan, Kit Harington and Kate Mara

The Fantastic Four reboot over at Fox already has X-Men: Days of Future Past writer Simon Kinberg on board to rewrite the superhero team flick. And The Chronicle director Josh Trank is at the helm. However, as far as casting goes, we’ve only heard that Michael B. Jordan of Fruitvale Station is the leading candidate to play Johnny Storm. We haven’t heard a lick about who will play Sue, Reed or Ben.

Over at Deadline, it seems like things are finally moving forward for other characters in the F4 mythology. According to the site, Skins’ Jack O’Connell, Spectacular Now‘s Miles Teller and Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harington are in the running for the role of Mr. Fantastic Reed Richards.

Sue Storm casting is also underway with the top choices right now looking like Lovely Bones‘ Saoirse Ronan, House of Cards’ Kate Mara and The Wolf of Wall Street‘s Margot Robbie.

If I were to pick, it would be Kit Harington (for the love of Jon Snow) and Kate Mara (if only so Saoirse Ronan could join Star Wars). Whatever way they go, the only interest I’ll probably have in seeing this movie is if there’s an X-Men crossover in the end. What do you think?
