Are Marvel One Shots just pilots for TV series? If the latest internet rumors prove true, then the answer may be “yes.”

According to Deadline, Marvel is quietly developing a series based on Agent Peggy Carter, who you may recall as Steve Rogers’ handler in Captain America.

The news comes just as Agent Carter is about to receive the Marvel One Shot treatment on the Iron Man 3 Bluray release. That short film follows Carter’s work as a fledgling secret agent after Captain America disappears into thick ice.

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first time a One Shot indirectly influenced the production of a series. Last year’s Item 47, featuring S.H.I.E.L.D., was followed up by the ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now this year’s One Shot, Agent Carter, may be followed with a show of its own. Plus, given Marvel’s lack of female leads, a Carter series would be do well to quash concerns over the male-driven superhero sagas.

So what do you think? Would you watch an Agent Carter series?
