MTV’s SCREAM Series Gets REVENGE/CRIMINAL MINDS Writers – Big 6 Morning Report
- MTV announced that it was adapting one of the greatest slasher films of all time, Scream, for the small screen about a year ago. And this week at TCA we learned that Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin have been hired as writers for the show. The pair have previously worked on Revenge, Criminal Minds and The Event. (Variety)
- NBC is planning a few big event miniseries, including one about the life of Hillary Clinton from the White House to her time as Secretary of State, a new adaptation of The Tommyknockers and an adaptation of Rosemary’s Baby. (The Wrap)
- At the weekend box office, The Wolverine came in #1 with a weak $55 million, though it did gross over $141 million worldwide. (Deadline)
