Marvel Wants Joseph Gordon Levitt For DOCTOR STRANGE
A few weeks ago, I posted a tidbit on here about how Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange film was being positioned to be its next Iron Man. Given that Robert Downey, Jr., isn’t around for any more Iron Man movies, they’ll need someone who can be the glue that holds the Marvel Cinematic Universe together.
Well, the good folks over at Latino Review are reporting that none other than Joseph Gordon Levitt is being courted to play the sorcerer superhero. Nothing is final, but proceed to geek out anyway.
JGL (who like RDJ can be referred to with three initials) is a hot property right now. Really he has been ever since 500 Days of Summer. Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Don Jon. Heck, you can go far as back as Brick in 2005 to really show when the former child star became a full-fledged leading man. And since we all know a JGL Batman is about as likely as another Brandon Routh Superman, making the leap from DC to Marvel seems like the right choice… especially if he’s going to be the center of the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe. (Let’s just hope him going from DC to Marvel is more successful than Ryan Reynolds jump from Marvel to DC.)
It’s a big role, but I trust that JGL can take this on. What do you think?
