Watch: Johnny Depp in THE RUM DIARY trailer
Johnny Depp’s long-awaited return to the world of Hunter S. Thompson hits theaters in October. Unlike Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Rum Diary doesn’t have Terry Gilliam at the helm and it doesn’t have a screenplay that was co-written by Repo Man‘s Alex Jones. But we do get Depp again and a director who fell off the wagon just for this movie. I’ll take it.
The Rum Diary, directed by Bruce Robinson and starring Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Giovanni Ribisi, Michael Rispoli, Richard Jenkins and Amber Heard, opens Oct. 28.
