Francis Ford Coppola’s TWIXT trailer
I wasn’t at Comic Con, but I was following the events unfold on Twitter. One panel in particular had film writers tweeting like crazy: Francis Ford Coppola’s Twixt announcement.
Nobody really knew what the man who gave us The Godfather and Apocalypse Now was talking about when hit introduced the concept for this horror film. But two things were clear: the film would go on tour and each screening would be remixed for that specific audience. (That’s enough to get most cinemaniacs in the door.)
Now we know a little more.
Twixt will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival and the fest released the first trailer for Coppola’s high-concept film experience. Check it out:
Sure, it doesn’t look like a movie from one of the men who reinvented an industry oh so long ago. It looks almost, dare I say it, amateurish. Maybe that’s the point. I know I’ll be there if the film makes it anywhere near Cleveland, Ohio.
