Johnny Depp joins THE TOURIST
Looks like The Tourist is a great place to visit, but no one wants to stay there.
THR says that Johnny Depp will star opposite Angelina Jolie, replacing Sam Worthington. Worthington, of course, took over the male lead after Tom Cruise dropped out. And Jolie filled in for Charlize Theron after Theron’s involvement in the picture came to an end.
The Tourist is a remake of the 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer and follows a female Interpol agent who pulls an American traveler into her scheme to save her criminal lover. Jolie will play the Interpol agent and Depp will take on the role of the American–for now.
