Gary Ross signs up for Venom – TFC Morning Report
Top Story: Gary Ross must have made the folks at Columbia happy with his Spider-Man 4 screenplay. The Pleasantville writer-director has also been tapped to rewrite and direct Venom, a film about the Spidey villain who was forced into appeared in Spider-Man 3. (Variety)
In Other News: Bill Condon’s Richard Pryor: Is it Something I Said? is moving forward, possibly setting up shop at Columbia with Happy Madison. Eddie Murphy won’t star in the film though. Instead Marlon Wayans will take over the role of the iconic comedian. (Variety)
