Latifah, Foxx join ‘Valentine’s Day’ – TFC Morning Report
Top Story: It’s official. Valentine’s Day will feature the most star-studded cast since Ocean’s Eleven. Queen Latifah and Jamie Foxx are the latest actors to join Garry Marshall’s ensemble rom-com. Latifah will play a sports superstar’s agent and Foxx will star as a sports reporter. In addition, 17-year-old Carter Jenkins has signed on to play Emma Roberts boyfriend in the picture. Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Hector Elizondo, Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane also star. In Other News: Jennifer Aniston isn’t joining Valentine’s Day, but she will star in the romantic comedy Pumas for CBS Films and director Wayne McClammy. (Variety)
Russell Crowe has joined Paul Haggis’ upcoming film The Next Three Days. The remake of the French film Pour Elle also reunites Haggis with his Crash studio, Lionsgate. (Variety)
No satisfied with just adapting bad Dan Brown novels, Ron Howard is attached to direct Robert Ludlum’s The Parsifal Mosaic for Universal. While I’m not expecting another Bourne franchise out of this, it will be interesting to see what Howard does to his lead’s hair. (Variety)
