Top Story: Coming off what should become the $100 million-grossing Mall Cop, comedian Kevin James is set to star in The Zookeeper for MGM and director Frank Coraci, Variety reports.

In Other News: HR says that Men in Black writer Ed Solomon will pen The Hardy Men, a spoof of the classic Hardy Boys mysteries. Shawn Levy will direct with Ben Stiller and Tom Cruise in the leads.

L.A. Confidential director Curtis Hanson is “circling” Disney’s Jerry Bruckheimer-produced action thriller Gemini Man, according the Variety.

Universal and Captivate Entertainment will launch their partnership with an adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s Parsifal Mosaic, so says Variety.

J-Hud, The Secret Life of Bees, Seven Pounds, and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne were big winners at last night’s NAACP Image Awards, HR reports.

And Variety says that Sam Mendes will produce a big screen adaptation of the BBC mini-series Lost In Austen. The show follows a young woman who swaps places with Jane Austen’s character Elizabeth Bennett.
