Hugh Jackman Denies Big X-Men Pay Day
While no one would deny that Hugh Jackman is probably worth every cent of the rumored $100 million pay day for four more X-Men movies, Jackman is denying the reported offer. In speaking with EW, Jackman basically says that money isn’t the reason he’s played Wolverine:
“No it’s not true… I would never do that. I’ve never done that mainly because, for the fans and for me, each time I’ve gone around there’s been a really good reason to do it and I don’t know what that reason is from here. I’m in the middle of making this and I just promoted the other and I’m really happy with the way The Wolverine came out.”
So if it wasn’t about the money, then as one EW commenter put it “I would love to hear his ‘really good reason’ for making X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” Obviously, that one wasn’t about the fans.
