Just 24 hours after X-MenMovies.com discovered that Fox had registered a domain for an X-Force movie, FOX has confirmed that Jeff Wadlow is on board to write and possibly direct the feature film adaptation of the best-selling comic series.

Wadlow, who is getting ready for the release of his Kick-Ass seqeul, follows in the footsteps of Matthew Vaughn, who jumped from the Kick-Ass franchise to X-Men: First Class.

Really, this is great news for the X-Men movie franchise. Ever since the release of First Class, Fox appears to be following the Marvel Avengers model when it comes to making an X-Men cinematic universe.  And even if Hugh Jackman never gets to see his Wolvie fight alongside Marvel’s full stable of heroes, there are enough X-Men to go with for a long, long time.
