BUFFY Writer To Script TOMB RAIDER Reboot – Big 6 Morning Report
- In what may be the smartest hire ever for a video game adaptation (short of that brief period where Romero was involved with Resident Evil), writer Marti Noxon of Buffy the Vampire series fame has been tapped by MGM to script a reboot of Tomb Raider. A little bit of Buffy could go a long way to reviving Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider film franchise. (Variety)
- Speaking of Buffy, Joss Whedon is talking Avengers 2 again and this time he suggests that the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Phase II, may be all standalone movies. (Bleeding Cool)
- The sun will come out tomorrow for Sandra Bullock. She’s in early talks to play the Miss Hannigan character in Will Smith snd Jay-Z’s adaptation of the musical Annie, which already stars Quvenzhane Wallis in the title role and Jamie Foxx as a Daddy Warbucks-type character. (The Wrap)
