Top Story: Eddie Murphy will reportedly star in Dreamgirls director Bill Condon’s upcoming Richard Pryor biopic. The film, titled Richard Pryor: Is It Something I Said?, reteams Murphy with the director who got him his first Oscar nomination. Could a win be in Murphy’s future? (HitFlix)
In Other News: Woody Allen adds one more. Antonio Banderas will join Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Sir Anthony Hopkins, and Freida Pinto in Allen’s upcoming (and still untitled) film. Take out Hannibal and this cast is nearly as hot as Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona cast. (Variety)
In musical news, Jake Gyllenhaal and Jim Carrey are in negotiations to join the musical Damn Yankees for New Line and the producers behind Hairspray (2007). No word if the title will be changed to Damn Red Sox. (Variety)
