Kick-Ass Casting Rumor For Whedon’s AVENGERS 2

Avengers 2 is about to get a little more kick-ass. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, star of Kick-Ass and its upcoming sequel, is the frontrunner to play Magneto’s son Quicksilver in Joss Whedon’s blockbuster sequel to The Avengers, according to The Wrap.

Quicksilver and his twin sister Scarlet Witch, Whedon recently confirmed, will both be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Both Marvel and Fox have the rights to the Quicksilver character, who will also be in Bryan Singer’s upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past. Evan Peters, who played Aaron Taylor Johnson’s friend Todd in Kick-Ass, will play Quicksilver in Singer’s adaptation.
