Top Story: Elton John’s Rocket Pictures has tapped Will Clark to direct Pride and Predator, a sci-fi Jane Austen film. Where was this premise when people were coming up with a new Friday the 13th movie. So would have enjoyed Sense and Slash-ability. (Variety)

In Other News: Oscar-winner William Monahan will drop some f-bombs on John Grisham’s legal thriller The Associate.  The Departed scribe will adapt the novel for Paramount.  Shia LaBeouf is set to star. (Variety)

Can’t make it to SXSW? Well, IFC Films will offer five of the film festival’s selections On Demand for 90 days starting in March. (HR)

Jean Paul Salome’s thriller The Chameleon has a cast. Marc-Andre Grondin, Ellen Barkin and Famke Janssen will star with Grondin making his English-language film debut. (HR)
