HFPA’s Golden Globe Noms announced
Is it just me or do the Globes get less and less relevant every year. Tom Cruise’s Tropic Thunder performance gets a Best Supporting Actor nod? Seriously? I’m sorry guys, but your nomination isn’t going to resurrect Cruise’s fading career. And you choose him over John Brolin in Milk. Wow.
And what’s with all the love for Burn After Reading? Seems like the HFPA is more interested in stuffing the room with celebs than anything else. Didn’t want the hassle of having the cast from Pineapple Express in the room, I guess. Points for nominating In Bruges for Comedy and Actor in a Comedy, though.
