King and Spielberg go UNDER THE DOME

Anytime Steven Spielberg attaches his name to something, it gets our attention. But when you throw Stephen King’s name on the same project, well, it’s popgasm time.

Spielberg and King are teaming up to produce a TV mini-series based on King’s just-released novel Under the Dome. The novel, which King started working on more than 30 years ago, tells the story of a small town trapped inside an invisible dome. Lord of the Flies-style antics ensue.

The show will be produced by DreamWorks TV, which has been developing shows for Showtime including the Emmy-winning United States of Tara.
