…but I’m still going to write about it. I don’t think I should break my streak of musical coverage this week just because there isn’t any news. (Four days in a row!)

Mark Malkin over at E! Online posted a couple less-than-juicy quotes from Hairspray director Adam Shankman, a man who is closing in on publicity whore territory after all the news he’s been in this week. (Kidding Adam. I heart you. Can’t wait for your Oscars.)

“We are looking for a writer right now,” [Shankman] said. “There’s no music written. It’s just a bunch of ideas. No one’s signed on to do it.”

At least their looking for a writer. A lot of people think this is a bad idea, but I say anything that reunites Shankman, composer and lyricist Marc Shaiman, and dancing queen Zac Efron Nikki Blonsky is good enough to get my approval. And you know Adam, you could work that relationship with Fox to get you three to work on an episode of Glee. Just think about it. You can get back to me later.
