National Board of Review Winners 2007
The National Board of Review officially launches Oscar season by selecting No Country for Old Men as the best film of the year. No arguments from this blogger. Sweeney Todd got a big boost, landing in the top ten AND snagging Tim Burton the Best Director award. It also looks like the Best Actress race finally got some clarity with the win for Julie Christie, while Amy Ryan gets more attention for her turn in Ben Affleck’s Gone Baby Gone. Update the charts accordingly folk. It’s just starting to get interesting. Oh and for the record, my predictions sucked.
