More The Lovely Bones from USA Today
Following Empire Online’s first look at Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones, USA Today posted the first image of Susie’s murderer, George Harvey.
Most importantly, the very grim sounding story is put in the proper perspective thanks to comments from Jackson. Here’s what he told USA Today:
“I found the book to be curiously optimistic,” Jackson says by e-mail from New Zealand, where he’s finishing the film. “I felt inspired by Susie’s struggle to come to terms with her own death. In the face of overwhelming grief, she finds hope.”
The Lovely Bones hits theaters on Dec. 11.
