Scorsese’s WOLF OF WALL STREET Will Get A Christmas Day Release
Ah, nothing says Merry Christmas like fraudulent investments. They are the gifts that keep on giving after all.
Still, it’s good news for Martin Scorsese and Paramount Pictures that, after publicly acknowledging that The Wolf of Wall Street wouldn’t hit its November release date because of a spat over the length of the picture, the Leonardo DiCaprio starrer will hit theaters in 2014 after all.
Paramount made it official today, with Deadline reporting they have staked their claim on Dec. 25 for the latest Scorsese-DiCaprio collaboration.
This means that after much speculation the film will be released in 2013 in time for Oscar. Does this shake up a race? Probably not much with 12 Years a Slave and Gravity way out in front at this point. But never underestimate the power of Martin Scorsese…
